Overview
In 2014, Groundswell was commissioned to design Proximo Spirits' Hangar 1 Vodka distillery and visitor center in Alameda, CA.
The facility showcases a unique approach to the adaptive reuse of materials. The space, a former airplane hangar, lends itself to being reinvented with a celebration of fresh designs and old materials. The distillery and tasting room is a one-of-a-kind experience that we really enjoyed designing.
