Overview
DTE Energy approached Groundswell to conceptualize a popup activation at their vacant Conners Creek Power Plant. The site, one of Detroit’s biggest parcels of available land on the waterfront, includes a collection of abandoned industrial structures, which made for the perfect backdrop.
Our team brought vibrancy to the space with pathways, comfortable moveable seating, lawn games, meadow inspired plantings, lighting for evening events, local food & beverage vendors and a stunning series of modern art installations by Hygienic Dress League titled “Value Proposition”.
